Ipico Technology

IPICO Elite Reader

IPICO Sports Dual Frequency technology provides:

Reliable Read Rates – Transmitters and Receivers always on,
competitors alternate between the two which allows for missed reads.

Data capture 50 times faster than Championchip

Immunity to interference from:
metals  (metal fencing)
liquids (precipitation, sweat)
carbon (human bodies)

Capacity  – Software algorithm allows simultaneous reads hundreds
of athletes on a  single 2.5M mat

The IPICO Timing System employs an IPICO IP-X dual-frequency
passive tag embedded in a piece of plastic a bit smaller than a
business card, which has holes to accommodate being laced onto the
top of a running shoe, as well as interrogator antennas that can be
integrated into mats installed along a course; the antennas are linked
to readers networked to a back-end server. The IP-X dual-frequency
tag is powered by a signal from a low-frequency (125 kHz to 135 kHz)
interrogator, but the tag uses a high-frequency (13.56 MHz) signal to
transmit its data to the reader.

Colorado Race Timing was a wonderful team of professionals to work with, they did a flawless job organizing our timed 20th Annual Race for the Cure!
Aspen Race for the Cure 5k, Aspen, CO

Colorado Race Timing was such an amazing organization to work with. We work our events from out of state and Simon and his crew made getting the event ready a lot easier for us. It was nice not having to work about getting to the park early, marking the route and placing the volunteers. Colorado Race Timing did this all for us. Simon and his crew are very knowledgeable on how to setup and run a 5k and it was nice bouncing ideas off of them. We will definitely be using them for our race next year!
    Miles for Hope, Denver, CO

Colorado Race Timing did an incredible job for Sierra's Race Against Meningitis' 4th Annual 5K Run/Walk this year! It was our first year to have our race chip-timed and Colorado Race Timing made it an easy transition for us. Colorado Race Timing is very professional, easy to work with and extremely organized - we would recommend them to anyone. Their expertise is unmatchable and if you are looking to grow your race and be confident that it will be timed accurately, Colorado Race Timing is the best choice!
